In 2004, John Poletes started his own general law practice in Toronto and focuses primarily on real estate closings, commercial leasing, business transactions, wills and estates.
Currently John enjoys lecturing for the Real Estate Institute of Canada REIC on legal issues and ethics related to real estate. He also delivers his own seminars to the brockerage community on a variety of real estate topics.
Prior to practicing law, John was a real estate broker specializing in commercial real estate, and the manager of a real estate office in Thornhill. He has been an OREA instructor, served on the Arbitration Committee, and maintained his TREB membership since 1983.
John attended Queen's University Law School and obtained an LL.B., and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies with a certificate in Real Estate Studies from York University (1990).
